To Love God
Jesus is central to everything we do. We sing, pray, and preach in His powerful Name. Our past, present, and future is centered on Jesus Christ. Our purpose on this earth is know Jesus and make Him known to those around us through our words and actions.
Jesus tells us that 'The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. ' (John 10:10) Through Jesus,we receive eternal life. We also receive an abundant life now. This isn't money, or possessions. The abundant life is the one where we have experienced the grace and mercy of God. We also experience peace and joy in situations where it wouldnt be posssible on our own. The abundant life is one of hope. The abundant life happens when we walk through the day with the Lord, instead of running ahead of Him, it happens in the presence of the Lord.
'A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. '
'The one thing I ask of the Lord — the thing I seek most — is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. '
Our Vision
To Love God and Help Others Do The Same
We are a church plant who's mission is to help those around connect with Jesus in a meaningful way. We have witnessed the miraculous power of Jesus, and we ourselves have come alive through relataionship. Jesus can break every chain, and set us free from that which is keeping us from living a truly abundant life.
We want to live in the joy of the Lord, while encountering and spreading His love. Jesus said that He came to give us life and life abundantly. We recognize that there are many ways for this to happen, but we utilize 4 key ways to live in this abundant life. These 4 are not check boxes for us to tick off. Instead, we recognize that Jesus comes to us, and brings us life through these practices.
- Worship: It builds a rhythm of prayer and devotion that extends outside of a house of worship and carries directly into everyday tasks.
- Gathering: These gatherings function as spaces where individuals sit down together to discuss how they are living out their faith, study scripture, and encourage consistency in their daily spiritual walks. Deep bonds are built with each other, and life is experienced more fully.
- Scripture: Bible reading is not a checklist, but instead a spiritual discipline of worship, listening, and prayer, ultimately aiming to know God deeply and live out His will.
- Mission: Because we have experienced this abundant life that Jesus has promised us, we want to share it with our family, with our friends, with our community, with the world. We also recognize that God shows up on these missions, and we look forward with joy to witnessing Him.
